Pay Ball!

This is a great picture of Ebbett's Field. For a couple of reasons, I love everything related to pre-1960 baseball games. One reason is that I'm old, but I think it has more to do with the old baseball movies (It Happens Every Spring, The Pride of the Yankees, The Winning Team etc.) I loved watching as a kid.

I think one of the reasons I like parking several blocks from Petco Park in a currently ungentrified part of downtown (besides the fact it's free) is that it's kinda like walking to a ballpark in 1938.



BTW, I agree with David, today should be a national holiday.
